Be honest
- Use real photos of the actual item you're selling — not photos from the internet or a photo of a different item.
- Post the real price and pick the correct category.
- Post one listing per item. Don't post the same item more than once, and don't repost a listing just to bump it back to the top of the list.
Be respectful
Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and spam aren't allowed — not in listings, not in chat, and not in reports. Members who are rude or abusive can be warned or removed even if nothing they said was against the law.
Meet safely
Meet in a public place, check the item before you pay, and bring someone with you for expensive items. See our safety guide for a full list of tips before you meet a buyer or seller.
Never pay or ask for a deposit before you've seen the item
Scammers often ask for a "booking fee," a deposit, or delivery money before you've met the other person or seen the item. Don't send money, and don't ask a buyer to send money, before the item actually changes hands. If someone pressures you to pay first, treat it as a warning sign and report it.
Don't share codes, and keep payments on you and the other person
Never share a verification code, a PIN, or a password with anyone — not even someone claiming to be from Phsar. Don't send or click payment links from chat; agree on a payment method directly with the other person, in person, once you're both happy with the deal.
Keep contact details out of titles
Don't put a phone number or a Telegram handle in a listing's title or photos. Use in-app chat instead — it keeps a record of the conversation in case something goes wrong later.
No off-platform recruitment or side deals
Don't use Phsar listings or chat to recruit people for jobs, "work from home" offers, or anything outside what a listing is actually for — see our prohibited items list.
Report problems
If something feels wrong — a suspicious message, a listing that looks fake, someone being rude — report it from the listing or the chat. Our moderators review reports, and an automatic scanner also flags messages that look like common scam patterns.
What happens if you break these rules
We respond in proportion to what happened, and whether it's a repeat problem:
- Warning — for a first, minor issue.
- Limit — for example, you may be temporarily unable to post or send messages.
- Suspension — your account is paused for a period of time.
- Ban — for serious or repeated problems, your account is closed permanently.
If your listing or account is affected by a moderation decision, you can appeal once, using the link in the notice you receive.
